How do ducks hear and when will they quack?

"How do they hear us? They don't have ears."
Actually, ducks DO have ears, we just cannot see them. Ducks have two tiny holes close to their eyes. They cannot have ears like us because all birds are built for flying, whether they fly or not.

"When will our ducks learn to quack?"

Right now, our ducks are peeping. We have read from several books and informational websites that ducks usually learn to quack in about one or two months after hatching.

Our ducks have GROWN A LOT since they hatched one week ago.
Donald could not fit through the fence... last week he could! Boy, was he surprised!
